Man Arrested with Help of Concerned Citizen

An Atlantic City man was arrested after a concerned citizen
reported that the man had attempted to meet who he believed to be a teenage
girl for sex.
On July 10, 2019, a video was posted to Facebook depicting
the concerned citizen meeting with Scott Hart on the Boardwalk in Atlantic
City. Detectives of the Special Victims
Unit were alerted to the video and began to investigate. The investigation revealed, Hart, who is a
registered sex offender, had been communicating with the concerned citizen via
social media and believed he was communicating with a 15- year old girl. Hart went to the Boardwalk to meet with the “girl”
to engage in sexual activity. At the
conclusion of the investigation, Hart was arrested.
ARRESTED: Scott Hart,
a 53- year old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Luring,
enticing a child by various means.
Hart was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
