For Immediate Release:  August 7, 2019

The Atlantic City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for severely wounding a man in a knife attack.  Christopher Parker is wanted after stabbing a man several times who attempted to intervene in a dispute.  

At 9:10 pm, patrol officers responded New York and Pacific Avenues for a report of a man stabbed with a large knife.  Officer Justin Peyton arrived to find the victim, 53 years old, suffering from severe injuries.  Officer Peyton tended to the victim including creating a makeshift tourniquet on the man’s arm.  The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with serious injuries.

The victim was stabbed after intervening in a dispute between Christopher Parker and his ex-girlfriend.  After stabbing the victim, Parker fled south on New York Avenue.  An investigation by officers and detectives of the Street Crimes Unit led to the identification of Parker and the subsequent filing of criminal charges.

WANTED:  Christopher W. Parker, a 57- year old man from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
