For Immediate Release:  July 19, 2019

On July 17, 2019, detectives of the Special Investigations Section along with the Atlantic City DCJ Metro Task Force conducted a cooperative street operation.  The operation targeted those possessing or distributing narcotics and quality of life issues.  As a result, six males and 3 females were arrested.  Detectives recovered a loaded handgun, cocaine, heroin and prescription pills.

The below were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

ARRESTED:  Lionel Bowman, a 28 year old man from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, contempt of court.

ARRESTED:  David Harmon, a 41 year old man from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Contempt of court. 

ARRESTED:  Nicholas Catalano, a 29 year old man from Pleasantville, NJ.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS and contempt of court.

The below were released on a summons with a future court date.

ARRESTED:  Jessica Hernandez, a 22 year old woman from Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

CHARGES:  Eluding and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

ARRESTED:  Elaine Hazard, a 52 woman from Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS.

ARRESTED:  Donald Lewis, a 34 year old man from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS.

ARRESTED:  Shonda Rector, a 32 year old woman from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS.

ARRESTED:  Kyrie Johnson, a 27 year old man from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Contempt of court. 

The below juvenile was remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.

ARRESTED:  A 16- year old juvenile male from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and receiving stolen property (handgun stolen from Millville, NJ).
