For Immediate Release:  June 20, 2019

On June 19, 2019, a 15- year old juvenile male was arrested following the investigation into a shooting. 

On June 15 at 11:50 pm, patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert.  Arriving officers located a gunshot victim, 16- years old from Atlantic City.  The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with serious injuries.

During the investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit, they identified and charged the shooting suspect.  On Wednesday, the juvenile turned himself in to detectives at the Public Safety Building.

ARRESTED:  A 15- year old male from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The male was remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.
