For Immediate Release:  June 1, 2019


On June 1, 2019 at 3:51 am, patrol officers responded to the area of Sovereign and Fairmount Avenues for a ShotSpotter alert.  Arriving officers located evidence of gunfire.  Approximately one hour later, a 31 year old man from Atlantic City walked into the Shore Medical Center in Somers Point suffering from a gunshot wound. 

The investigation is being led by the Violent Crimes Unit.  Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5788.  Information can be text to tip411 (847411).  Begin the text with ACPD.  All texts are anonymous.
