On May 7th, 2019 at approximately 9:37PM, members of the Vineland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit were dispatched to the area of South Main Road just south of Sheridan Avenue in regards to a fatal crash involving one vehicle.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra operated by Maria Acevedo, age 59 of the 1000 block of East Landis Avenue, Vineland was traveling southbound on South Main Road when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.  As a result of the crash, Acevedo was pronounced dead at the scene.
