For Immediate Release:  April 19, 2019

On April 18, 2019, an anonymous text to the police department’s tip411 system resulted in the arrest of three adults and two juveniles and the recovery of a handgun and drugs.

During the morning, anonymous texts were received through tip411 reporting handguns inside a room at the Madison Hotel located in the beach block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.  Detective Ermindo Marsini of the Special Investigations Section initiated an investigation into the claims.  

During the investigation, detectives attempted to stop Abdul Bobo-Moore as he left the building.  Bobo-Moore fled from the detectives but was quickly apprehended.  He was found in possession of heroin. 

Detectives made their way to an apartment inside the building where they encountered four individuals inside the room.  Omar Law, Azyiah Henry, and a 17 year old female were placed in custody after they were found in possession of narcotics.  A 16 year old male was placed in custody after being found in possession of a loaded handgun magazine. 

Detectives located a loaded handgun in the apartment which will be sent to the New Jersey State Police crime lab for further analysis.  A total of 110 individual bags of heroin and 25 grams of marijuana was recovered.

ARRESTED:  Abdul Bobo-Moore, a 22 year old male from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest.

ARRESTED:  Azyiah Henry, an 18 year old male from Mays Landing, NJ.

CHARGES:   Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone.

ARRESTED:  Omar Law, an 18 year old male from Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS.

The above three adults were released on a summons with a future court date.

ARRESTED:  A 17 year old female from Mays Landing, NJ.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

ARRESTED:  A 16 year old male from Mays Landing, NJ.

CHARGES:  Unlawful possession of handgun ammunition.

The above two juveniles were released to a parent with a future court date.
