For Immediate Release:  February 16, 2019

On February 15, 2019, a man and woman from Maryland were arrested after officers found a loaded handgun and marijuana in their car.

At 1:39 pm, Officers Alberto Valles and Chris Dodson stopped a vehicle at Tennessee and Atlantic Avenues after observing several traffic violations including one that almost caused a multi-vehicle crash. 

The driver, Jamal Pinchback, who did not have a valid driver’s license.  Pinchback and his passenger, Brooke Roberts, were arrested after the officers observed marijuana on the floor of the car.  During a further search, officers located a loaded handgun and additional marijuana. 

ARRESTED:  Jamal Pinchback, a 26 year old male from Baltimore, MD.

CHARGES:  Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of hollow-point ammunition.

ARRESTED:  Brooke Roberts, a 21 year old female from Mitchellville, MD.

CHARGES:   Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of hollow-point ammunition.

Pinchback and Roberts were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
