The next session of the Homewood Police Department's Citizens Police Academy will start on April 9, 2019. Classes are every Tuesday night  from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and dinner will be provided.  The academy will last seven weeks and will end with  graduation on May 21, 2019.  Subjects covered will be use of force, traffic stops, pursuits, crime scene investigations, along with a K9 and Tactical Team demonstration.  There will also be a firearms safety range day.  Class slots are open to any citizen of Homewood and to any citizen that works within the city limits of Homewood.  If you are interested in attending contact Sergeant Justin Self at Justin.self@homewoodal.org for an application.  Applications must be submitted by March 29, 2019.
