The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for shooting a man.

An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit identified Emery Chapman as the suspect in a shooting that occurred on February 3, 2019.

At 5:13 am, patrol officers responded to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for a man that walked in with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim, 25 years old from Pleasantville, NJ, was shot after becoming involved in an altercation with Chapman at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino security assisted detectives in this investigation.

WANTED:  Emery Chapman, a 39 year old male from Pleasantville, NJ.

CHARGES:  Aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
