On January 26th, 2019 at approximately 6:11AM, members of the Vineland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit were dispatched to the area of West Landis Avenue just east of Delsea Drive in regards to a fatal pedestrian crash involving one vehicle.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Honda Accord operated by Sherrell Vinson, age 31 of the 200 block of Plum Street, Vineland was traveling westbound on West Landis Avenue when her vehicle struck a pedestrian in her lane of travel.  

The pedestrian who has yet to be identified pending notification to the next of kin was pronounced dead on scene.
