On Friday, January 19, 2018, at approximately 0200 hours, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to 3244 Central Parkway to investigate a serious injury traffic crash.

Mr. Collin T. Spangler M/23, was operating a 2008 Dodge Avenger north on Central Parkway.  Mr. Spangler failed to control his vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree.   

Mr. Spangler sustained minor injuries.  Mr. Derek McKinley M/22 sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  Mr. McKinley is listed in critical condition.

Excessive speed appears to be a factor in this crash.

Impairment is a factor in this crash.    

The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and any witnesses to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
