Dutton Road DUI Crash Knocks Out Power and Closes Dutton Road
On
December 13, 2017 at approximately 2:54pm the Pelham Police and Fire
Departments were dispatched to the area of 9 Dutton Road for a report of a
vehicle that had struck a telephone pole.
Upon arrival officers observed three vehicles involved. A 2015 Jeep Wrangler, operated by Christopher
Gaidmore of Milford, NH, had struck a telephone pole causing wires and the pole
to come down across the road. The wires also
fell on top of two vehicles that were also traveling on Dutton Road. The other vehicles involved were a 2013 Dodge
Caravan being operated by a Nicki Darisse of Pelham, NH and a 2008 Dodge Pickup
that was being operated by a Felipe Figueiredo also of Pelham, NH. The driver of the Dodge Pickup was able to
free himself. The occupants of the Dodge
Caravan were unable to get out due to the wires on the vehicle. The Pelham Fire Department was able to free
the wires from the vehicle and rescue the occupants. They were not injured.
The
operator of the Jeep Wrangler was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical
Center for treatment and is in the custody of the Pelham Police
Department. He has been charged with
Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Operating After Suspension and also had
an Electronic Bench Warrant. Additional
charges may be forthcoming. The accident
remains under investigation. The Pelham
Police Department asked anyone that witnessed the accident to contact Ofc. Mark

As
a result of the accident Dutton Road was closed between Atwood Road and Clark
Circle and power was knocked out to the area.
The road is expected to remain closed into the overnight hours. Utility companies are on scene working to
clear the road and restore power to the area.
