On October 24, 2017, Tri-State Honor Flight will be hosting local law enforcement officers in the FIRST EVER all Law Enforcement Honor Flight.

Honor Flights mission is to transport America's Veterans to Washington, DC to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends. Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices.

The organizers of the event are hopeful that those members the public who support law enforcement can come out and see these Great American Heroes as they leave or return from the flight.

There are two events on the 24th that the public is invited to attend:

Departure Ceremony – 30 minute ceremony from 5:30 - 6:15 AM . This is a low attendance event prior to the veterans departure. Great opportunity to shake hands with these heroes as they head off on their journey.

Return Ceremony – 45 minute event from 8:30 - 9:30 PM. This is a huge homecoming event you and the families of those traveling welcoming the veterans in a mini-parade.

Both events are in the main terminal near the TSA check point.

CPD Officers will account for better than half of the retired officers on the flight There will also be nearly a dozen active officers attending as escorts.
