With the recent retirement of Sergeant Jim Wergers, the police department underwent a promotional process.  As a result of the process I am proud to report the promotions of Bill Murphy and Jerrod Meyer.  This evening, at the Board of Trustees meeting, President Rose Stertz conducted the swearing-in ceremony.

Sergeant Bill Murphy has been with the department since April 2000.  Many know Bill as the School Resource Officer (SRO).  Bill served as the SRO from 2006 until his promotion, to the rank of corporal, in 2016.  Bill also serves as an FTO (Field Training Officer) and TAC (Terminal Agency Cordinator).  Bill will be serving as the Patrol Sergeant on second shift.

Corporal Jerrod Meyer has been with the department since November 2008.  Jerrod serves the department as an FTO, defensive tactics instructor, firearms instructor, and taser instructor. Jerrod will be serving as the Patrol Corporal on third shift.
