On February 24, 2017 at approximately 1:53pm, Amanda Troyer, 33, was involved in a two vehicle property damage collision on CR 22, west of US 20. Amanda Troyer was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated, with two children in the vehicle, ages one and four, who were under her direct care and supervision. Amanda Troyer failed a Drug Recognition Evaluation and submitted to a certified chemical blood draw at 5:44pm, pending further toxicology. Amanda Troyer was incarcerated for operating while intoxicated-felony and for neglect of a dependent-felony.

On 2/25/2017 around 3:05AM Kane Loth was located in a running vehicle in the west bound lane of SR 119 east of CR 17. Kane Loth was found to have been operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Kane Loth failed a three part standardized field sobriety test and submitted to a certified chemical breath test which found Kane Loth's BrAc to be .104% at 4:39AM. Kane Loth was incarcerated for operating while intoxicated-misdemeanor.

On 2/25/2017 at approximately 3:40 am, Tomas Rivera-Duran was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated during a single vehicle crash investigation. Tomas Rivera-Duran failed field sobriety tests and had a certified chemical breath test with a result of .142 BRAC at 4:24 am. Tomas Rivera-Duran was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail on the charge of operating while intoxicated, Habitual Traffic Violator and Never Receiving a License.

On 02/25/2017 at around 3:52 AM Adam Perkins, 24, was stopped for a traffic violation on CR 19, south of CR 30, and was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, having possession of 0.8 grams of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.  Adam Perkins failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and a Drug Recognition Evaluation. Adam Perkins was incarcerated for operating while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

On 2/25/2017 at approximately 5:00pm a burglary was reported in the 22000 block of Old US HWY 20. Sometime between 2/1/2017 and 2/25/2017 a suspect a cut a hole in a perimeter fence and cut locks on multiple storage units and removed items. It was reported a safe with documents had been taken.

On 2/26/2017 at approximately 6:02am in the 27000 block of Woodview Dr, Brandon Taylor, 28, was found to be in violation of a no trespass order, which was issued to him on 1/10/2017, while parked in his vehicle in the 27000 block of Woodview Dr.  Brandon Taylor was incarcerated for Criminal Trespass at the Elkhart County Jail. A search warrant was obtained for Brandon Taylor's vehicle and 1.2 grams of marijuana was found inside of his vehicle.

On February 26, 2017 at approximately 3:58am, Brian Lightner, 52, was stopped on CR 6, east of CR 13 for a traffic violation. Brian Lightner failed field sobriety tests and had a certified chemical breath test with a result of .147 BRAC at 5:12am. Brian Lightner was found in possession of marijuana and was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for operating while intoxicated-misdemeanor and for possession of marijuana-misdemeanor.

On 02-24-2017 at approximately 8:47pm it was reported that a in the 1000 block of Toledo Rd, Elkhart had been broken into. The suspects removed several items from several of the buildings that were on the property. It was advised that the burglary occurred between 02-22-2017 at 9:00pm and 02-24-2017 at 7:00pm.  A chain was cut on a fence to gain access to the property.

On 02/25/2017 at about 2:45 pm, it was reported an Apple iPhone was stolen from a 2007 Buick Rendezvous at about 2:00 pm on 02/25/2017, while in the 24000 block of CR 26.

On 2/26/2017 at 12:54AM it was reported that a purse containing cash, credit cards, and paperwork was stolen out of a vehicle at in the 30000 block of Old US Hwy 33 between 12:00AM and 12:54AM.
