Luz Cardona reported unknown actor(s) entered her Ford Explorer and rummaged through the glove compartment and center console. The only missing item was a small pink change purse containing approximately $5.00 in coins. No damage was noticed to the vehicle.

Accused# 2: Arthur L. Thompson, 37 yoa, residing at 743 South Valley Avenue, Vineland NJ 08360

Accused# 3:  Antonio L. Figueroa, 33 yoa, residing at 67 Howard Street #603, Vineland NJ 08360

The above three subjects were arrested after police responded to the above location in regard to a suspicious vehicle and located a Nissan occupied by Fateen Dawson, Arthur Thompson and Antonio Figueroa. When asked why they were there, Figueroa said he was visiting his friend ‘Squirrel’ at an apartment. ‘Squirrel’ informed police he didn’t know any of the above three persons.

It was then learned that Figueroa had 5 outstanding Vineland City warrants and he was placed under arrest. Dawson and Thompson were both placed under arrest for trespassing, and a small amount of crack cocaine was located where Thompson had been seated in the vehicle.

Arthur Thompson was charged with possession of CDS-cocaine and defiant trespassing. He was released on a summons complaint. ?

Fateen Dawson was charged with defiant trespassing and released on a summons complaint.

Antonio L. Figueroa was charged with defiant trespassing and issued a summons. He had the following warrants for his arrest.

1.Vineland City warrant  $1,000.00 /10%,

2.0614- S2016-2347, Vineland City $550.00/10%

3.0614-S2016-2873, Vineland City warrant $1,000.00/10%

4.0614-E16-1701, Vineland City $1,000.00 full cash

5.0614-VC12478, Vineland City $500.00 full cash

Figueroa was held on bail and turned over to Cumberland County Jail.

Victim: Maria Gonzalez, 811 E Chestnut Ave, Vineland, NJ, 08360

The above victim reported that she walking on the north side of Landis Ave, approaching the area near Colonial Electric (64 W Landis Ave) when a tan 4 door car pulled over and an overweight Hispanic female got out and quickly approached her. The female grabbed her from behind, placed her arm around her neck as if the female was going to choke her. The female then grabbed Gonzalez’s purse and phone, got back inside the vehicle and fled the area. Gonzalez ran to Yellow Cab to report the incident.

In her purse was jewelry, personal identification papers, and her debit/credit cards. The phone was a black iPhone 7 worth $649.00. 

The ‘Find My iPhone App’ initially didn’t work due to the phone being turned off but then alerted police that it was in the area of 20 W Park Ave. Police detectives checked the area and located the victim’s purse in a dumpster but the cell phone could not be located. It then stopped ‘pinging’ in that area.

Reported missing from the victim’s purse were:  a pair of silver earrings - $40.00; (6) silver rings - $60.00 a piece; Men’s gold bracelet - $100.00;  silver Female bracelet with (2) gold charms - $250.00

 Accused / Address: Evans, John M Jr B/M-36 of 960 Mars Pl, Vineland,NJ,08360

The above subject was arrested and charged with harassment and violation of a TRO. He was processed on a warrant and turned over to Cumberland County Jail.
