Elkhart County Sheriff's Department: Crime Summary Report
On
December 9th, 2016 at approximately 4:00PM, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies
responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the cul-de-sac on
Williams Lane at Boot Lake Nature Preserve in Elkhart, Indiana. Upon arrival,
Deputies located the vehicle and found that the occupants, Donna K. Finley (48)
and Gregory Jon Miller Jr. (44), were in possession of Cocaine and Drug
Paraphernalia. Gregory Jon Miller Jr. and Donna K. Finley were both
incarcerated at the Elkhart County Correctional Facility for Possession of
Cocaine, a felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
On
12/09/2016 at around 4:08 pm, Theresa Bricker, 49 was involved in a single
vehicle crash with a utility pole on CR 3 south of CR 38. Theresa Bricker failed standard field
sobriety tests and had a BRAC of .18.
She was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail.
On
12/10/2016 at approximately 2:45 am, Jose Cuevas, 31, was arrested in the area
of CR 6 and CR 10 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, after being
stopped by police for a traffic violation. Jose Cuevas failed field sobriety
tests and refused a certified chemical breath test. Jose Cuevas was incarcerated at the Elkhart
County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated-misdemeanor.
On
12/10/16 Amy Zook (32) was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a
traffic violation at CR 31 and CR 46.
Amy Zook was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and
paraphernalia. Upon arrival at the
Elkhart County Correctional Facility, Amy Zook, was found to be in possession
of a controlled substance, precursors, and methamphetamines. Amy Zook was incarcerated for possession of
marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamines,
possession of a controlled substance, possession of precursors and trafficking.
On
12-10-2016 around 8:43am, Amanda E Skaggs (27) was found in the area of CR 17
south of CR 32 slumped over the wheel of her vehicle that was on the shoulder
of the road. Amanda E. Skaggs was found
to be intoxicated after failing a three part field sobriety test and a
Certified Breath Test, having a result of .107 BRAC around 9:54am. Amanda E. Skaggs was incarcerated.
On 12/10/2016 at
around 11:05 pm, a vehicle was reported by the property owner to be parked in a
driveway in the 57000 block of CR 13 occupied by a driver that was passed out.
Officers arrived on scene and found the driver, Andrew Lee Sickels, 31, to be
intoxicated. He failed a field sobriety test and refused a certified breath
test. He was found to have operated while on a license status of Habitual
Traffic Violator. He was incarcerated for Operating While Intoxicated, Never
Receiving a License-Prior, Display of Altered Interim License Plate, and
Habitual Traffic Violator.
On
12-11-2016 around 7:40am Ryan C. Ntende 24 was stopped for a traffic violation
in the area of SR 119 and CR 19. Ryan C.
Ntende was found to be intoxicated failing a three part field sobriety test,
having a result of .13 around 7:58am.
Ryan C. Ntende was also found to have a prior conviction within 5 years
making this a felony. Ryan C. Ntende was
incarcerated.
On
12/9/2016, it was reported that between the times of 12/6/2016 at 3:00pm
and 12/9/2016 at 6:30pm in the 54000
block of Cr 5, a suspect forced entry by breaking the back garage window and
stole a black RCA 40” TV, a black Sanyo 30” TV, a black Playstation 4, a black
Xbox 360, a pair of black Skull Candy headphones, seven Playstation 4 games,
and a brown electric guitar. The incident is under investigation by the Elkhart
County Sheriff's Department.
On
12/10/16 around 1:06pm it was reported that a 2010 Chevy Camaro was stolen
around 12:52pm on 12/10/2016 from a residence located in the 51000 block of CR
33.
On 12/10/2016 at
approximately 2:28pm it was reported a burglary that occurred on 12/6/2016 at
approximately 2:00am in which one male suspect and one female forced entry into
a storage unit located in the 28000 block of CR 4, Elkhart, IN. Elkhart County Sheriff’s
Deputies are investigating.
On
12/11/2016 at approximately 8:02 PM it was reported that sometime between
12/9/2016 at approximately 6:00 PM and 12/11/2016 at approximately 8:00 PM a
suspect stole a maroon 1999 Chevrolet Silverado from the parking lot of a
business located in the 2100 block of S Nappanee St, Elkhart.
