The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is conducting investigations into two separate incidents where counterfeit money was passed or attempted to be passed at the Speedway gas station on the corner of SR 19 and CR 20 in Elkhart.  During both instances, the would-be customers depicted in these photographs possessed counterfeit bills that they attempted to use during their purchases.  The unknown depicted female attempted this on October 31, 2016, and the unknown depicted male attempted this on November 6, 2016.  Anyone with information regarding the identities and/or whereabouts of either of these two people is encouraged to contact Detective Michael Daly by calling 574-891-2300, or anonymously by clicking on the “Submit A Tip” button located on www.elkhartcountysheriff.com and https://www.facebook.com/ecsdnews/.
