On this date, October 25, 2016, officers were dispatched to 300 W Landis Ave (Advance Auto Parts) in regards to a shoplifting complaint. Prior to officer’s arrival, Vineland Police Dispatch advised that complainant stated the accused stole a tool set and fled on foot towards Wood St.

The description given for the accused was a Hispanic male wearing a batman hat and batman jacket. He also had a black backpack and black baseball cap with long hair pulled into a ponytail.

While officers were checking the area, they located a subject, later identified as Nathaniel Burgos in the area of N 4th St and E Pear St. Burgos matched the description given for the accused. Burgos was detained for investigative purposes while additional information was obtained from the employee of Advance Auto Parts.

The employee of Advance Auto Parts related that Burgos walked into Advance Auto Parts and went directly to the tool aisle. The employee witnessed Burgos take a tool set valued $59.99 from the shelf and placed this item in this backpack then exit the store without paying. He fled on foot towards Wood St.

The employee responded to the area where Burgos was standing and he positively identified him as the accused. Burgos was placed under arrest at the scene. Prior to transporting Burgos to this station he was willing to tell the officer where he placed the stolen tool set. Burgos stated that the tool set was ditched in a green trash bin located behind Advance Auto Parts. The officer responded to this location and located the stolen tool set. NOTE: This tool set was returned to Advance Auto Parts.

Palmer, Sharay B/M-20 of 424 W Almond St, Vineland, NJ, 08360

On October 25, 2016 at 2200 the United States Marshal Regional Fugitive Task Force executed an arrest warrant at 220 W. Plum Street.  During the execution of the warrant, Sharay Palmer, was arrested without incident.  Palmer had the following the outstanding warrants:

S2016 002767 (Vineland) in the amount of $1000.00 on 9/26/16.

S2016 000209 (Woodstown NJSP) in the amount of $550.00 on 9/23/16.

Sharay was also wanted for Homicide by Bridgeton State Police

Sharay was transported back to Vineland Police Headquarters and turned over to the New Jers
