Driver # 1 said she was traveling North on South Orchard Road when she activated her right turn signal and began to slow down. Driver # 1 said she then began to make a right turn into the driveway of her residence located at 1674 South Orchard Road, when a subject on a moped (Vehicle # 2) struck the passenger side front of her vehicle. Driver # 1 told me that vehicle # 2 must have been traveling North on South Orchard Road along the road edge. Driver # 1 said that driver # 2 vehicle fell off of the moped when it struck her vehicle. Driver # 1 told me that the driver of vehicle # 2 picked up the moped, got on same and left the area, last seen heading South on South Orchard Road. Driver # 1 told me that driver # 2 was a black male, possibly between 15-20 years old however due to it being dark outside she could not tell for sure. Driver # 1 said that driver # 2 was not wearing a helmet and that is the only reason that she knew that the driver of vehicle # 2 was a black male. Driver # 1 was also unable to provide me with any description of the moped (vehicle #2) due to the fact that it was too dark outside.
 
    Damage to vehicle # 1 was moderate to the passenger side front fender and damage to vehicle # 2 is unknown at this time. A check of the area for any physical evidence left behind by vehicle # 2 was negative. I then checked the entire area for anyone on a moped or a moped parked on a property in the area, which was also negative. A check at Inspira Health Network, 1505 West Sherman Avenue was also negative. 

       Due to the lack of information regarding vehicle and driver # 2, this Officer deems this investigation complete at this time unless additional information is obtained at a later date and time that would assist in identifying same.

E Chestnut Ave/ S 6th St

Dispatched to the area of E. Chestnut Ave. and S. 6th St. for a minor collision.  Upon my arrival, I spoke with driver #1 who related the following about the incident.  Driver #1 stated that she was heading east bound on E. Chestnut Ave., just east of S. 6th St. She stated that she was in the lane farthest south and she observed vehicle #2 ahead in the lane closest to the double yellow line, just ahead of her.  She stated as she was passing vehicle #2, vehicle #2 started to change lanes and collided with her vehicle.

Driver #2 stated that she was heading east bound on E. Chestnut Ave.  She explained that she had just passed S. 6th St. and the light was turning red.  She stated she did not observe anyone traveling east bound next to her and thought since the light had turned red, no one would be next to her.  She stated that she looked and did not see any vehicles so she displayed her right turn signal and decided to change lanes.  She stated that as she merged to the right, vehicle #1 struck her.  She went on to say that she believed that vehicle #1 was traveling to avoid the red light at E. Chestnut Ave. and S. 6th St. and was coming quickly, which is why she never saw vehicle #1 before she attempted to change lanes.

Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to the driver's side of the vehicle.  Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

EMS arrived at the scene and transported driver #1 to Inspira Hospital with neck pain.  EMS then spoke with a juvenile in vehicle #2, however, the father stated that he would take his daughter to the hospital if necessary, later today.  The child did not appear to be injured and was safely seat belted using a child restraint.

No summonses issued for a minor collision with minimal damage, and a minor complaint of pain.

The below incident occurred in the parking lot of 785 W Sherman Ave, private property. 

Driver #1 stated he was backing out of his parking stall and did not see Vehicle #2 who was driving by and backed into Vehicle #2. 

Driver #1 and occupant claimed no injury 

Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the rear bumper area 

Driver #2 stated as she was driving through the parking lot, Vehicle #1 backed out of his stall and backed into her vehicle. 

Driver #2 and occupant claimed no injury 

Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the rear driver side 

No summonses were issued

N Mill Rd/Weymouth Rd

D1: Walter Loveland 4th, 11/26/1980, Marsha Ave, Williamstown NJ

Driver #1 stated at the scene he was traveling South on Mill Rd and was running late for work. Driver #1 stated he decided to attempt to pass two vehicles traveling in front of him when the first vehicle (vehicle X) began to make a left turn into Chemglass. Driver #1 said he maneuvered his vehicle and avoided a collision with vehicle X, but lost control of his vehicle and sideswiped  a utility pole and crashed into a tree on the Chemglass property. Driver #1 said he was not injured. Vineland EMS responded and driver #1 refused transport to the hospital.

I spoke to the driver of vehicle X who witnessed the crash, Phillip Durham. Durham said he was traveling South on Mill Rd and began to turn into Chemglass when vehicle #1 passed him on the left at a high rate of speed. Durham said that the driver of vehicle #1 lost control of his vehicle and sideswiped a utility pole and crashed into a tree.

Chemglass had surveillance footage of the area in which the crash occurred. I viewed the surveillance footage which confirmed driver #1 and the witness statements. I obtained a copy of the surveillance footage which was tagged and secured in the ID section.

Driver #1 was issued the following summonses; Improper Passing, 39:4-85, #0614 E16 002226, Suspended Driver's License, 39:3-40, #0614 E16 002227, and Failure to Notify DMV of Address Change, 39:3-36, #0614 E16 002228.

Utility pole #H44692 was damaged and Vineland Electric Utility was notified and responded.

S Delsea Dr/Sherman Ave

Driver # 1, stated she was traveling eastbound on West Sherman Avenue, when she was struck by vehicle # 2. She stated vehicle # 2 exited from Wawa Parking lot without scanning the area for oncoming traffic.

Driver #2, stated he was traveling northbound through the Wawa driveway (North West side) attempting exit, making a left turn onto West Sherman Avenue when he was struck by vehicle # 1. Driver # 2 said another driver operating an unknown tractor trailer truck (vehicle X) waived him to go and make a left turn.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

Vehicle # 1 had damages(dent, paint scratches) on the passenger side and passenger's side rear tire was flat. Vehicle #2 had a dent and paint damages on the front bumper area, passenger's side/right side.

Witnesses at the scene, George R. Gurlin and Linda M. Gurlin stated vehicle # 1 was stopped, facing east when vehicle # 2 exited from Wawa parking lot and struck vehicle #1.

I responded to Wawa Store, 2802 South Delsea Drive and I spoke with Store Manager, Christopher Sidoh in regards to the accident on West Sherman Avenue. Christopher reviewed their security camera and located the accident. I observed a white in color tractor trailer (vehicle X) stopped a few feet west Wawa's driveway. Vehicle # 2 exited from the driveway and collided with vehicle #1, which was passing the vehicle X on the left in a no passing zone.  

A CD-R containing surveillance footage of the accident was tagged as evidence and turned over to ID Section, Ofc. Robert DeMarchi.

Driver # 1 was issued summons # 0614-VC-011767, for improper passing 39:4-86.

S Delsea Dr/Elm Rd

D1: Charles Peale, 2/16/1958,  S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland NJ

D2: Ivette Rosa, 8/13/1961, W Arbor Ave, Vineland NJ

Dispatched to the area of Delsea Dr. and Elm Rd. for a collision.  Upon my arrival, I spoke with driver #1 who related the following about the incident.  Driver #1 stated that he was heading south bound on S. Delsea Dr., just south of Elm Rd.  He stated that vehicle #2 made a left hand turn in front of his vehicle and they collided.

Witness at the scene, Christopher Williams, provided the following.  Williams was behind vehicle #1, heading south on S. Delsea Dr. He stated that vehicle #2 made a left hand turn in front of vehicle #1 and the two vehicles collided.

Driver #1 complained of pain, but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Both occupants of vehicle #2 were being treated by EMS and I could not speak to either at the scene. Both were transported to Inspira Hospital. Vineland Fire Department responded to the scene and assisted with extraction of the passenger in vehicle #2.

Vehicle #1 sustained heavy front end damage to the vehicle.  Vehicle #2 sustained heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. 

Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene by Williams Towing.  Vehicle #2 was towed from the scene by Speedys Towing.

Next I responded to Inspira to speak with driver #2.  Driver #2 stated that she was heading north bound on S. Delsea Dr.  She stated that she missed her turn for her grandchildren's bus stop, so she pulled over to the shoulder on S. Delsea Dr.  She stated that she intended to turn around and decided to use the Neptune driveway to turn around.  She stated that she looked behind her and no traffic was approaching from the south heading north.  She stated that she noticed vehicle #1 heading south but didn't think that he was that close, so she decided to turn left into Neptune and the vehicles collided. 

Driver #1 was issued the following summons:

0614-VC-012444, 39:4-127, Improper turn in street

Passenger in vehicle #2 complained of pain to his entire right side of his body.

Driver #1 states vehicle #2 was allowing them to turn in front of him into their mothers residence located at 1137 E. Park Avenue. Driver #1 states when they were turning into the driveway vehicle #2 struck the front end of the vehicle.

Driver #2 states he was heading East on Park Avenue when vehicle #1 turned in front of him to turn into a driveway and struck the front and drivers portion of his vehicle.

At the time of my arrival there were no visible signs of injuries and no complaints of pain. All involved refused medical attention.

Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to the front bumper of the vehicle.
Vehicle #2 sustained minor damage to the front bumper and drivers side of the vehicle.

No summons were issued at this time.

Driver #1 stated at the scene he was backing his vehicle in the Walmart parking lot (1070 W Landis Ave) when he collided with vehicle #2. Driver #1 said he did not see vehicle #2. Driver #1 was not injured.

Driver #2 stated at the scene he was traveling North through the Walmart parking lot when vehicle #1 backed up and crashed into his vehicle. Driver #2 was not injured.

Both vehicles had minor damage. I only observed scuff marks on both vehicles. The crash occurred on private property and no summonses were issued at this time, non-reportable.
