On Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, officers of the Palestine Police Department responded to a report of an Aggravated Robbery at Blow Vapor Zone, 301 W. Palestine Ave. Officers contacted the victim who reported that an unknown black male subject had entered the business, brandishing a handgun and demanding money. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect at the time of the incident.

On Thursday, July 21st, 2016, Palestine Police Detectives were able to ascertain the identity of the suspect. The investigation led to sufficient information to apply for and receive an arrest warrant. Officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle parked in front of what was suspected to be the suspect’s residence. Detectives then received a search warrant for the premise.

At approximately 5:15 PM on this date, officers from the Palestine Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division served the search warrant in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Blvd. At this time the suspect was located and arrested pursuant to the warrant for Aggravated Robbery, a First Degree Felony.

“This was great work by the officers involved in this case,” said Lieutenant John Herod. “Detective Mark Harcrow followed up on this incident and did an excellent job of bringing the case to a conclusion. All officers involved worked together seamlessly to serve the warrants and apprehend a violent offender.”

The suspect’s name is being held at this time, pending arraignment, but will be released at a later time.
