Homicide Unit Investigation  

On June 16, 2016, at 3:13 a.m., District Three officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2600 block of Montana Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers located a victim deceased inside an apartment and a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  The deceased victim has been identified as Joseph Reno Armstrong Jr., a male black, 17 years of age.  No photo will be released.

The second victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was being treated for his injuries.

Investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is on-going.

*UPDATE*

On June 21st, 2016, Homicide Detectives signed a Murder warrant for the arrest of Thomas Robinson.  With assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Gang Unit and RENU officers, Thomas Robinson was arrested for causing the death of Reno Armstrong Jr. and transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
