(VICTORIA,TX) - Victoria Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested three people in connection with this morning’s murder.

Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 12:49 am, VPD Officers responded to the 2500 block of Booker Street following a report of a possible shooting. On arrival, the officers located 18-year-old Vonsell Ray Ramirez with a laceration to his neck.  EMS personnel transported Ramirez from the scene to Detar Navarro, where he was pronounced dead.

Nineteen year-old Braylen Wayne Snell, 19-year-old Raheem Davon Jones, and 18-year-old Marissa Nicole Martinez, all of Victoria, have been arrested in connection with Ramirez’ murder.  Snell and Martinez were booked into the Victoria County jail for the offenses of Murder and Robbery. Jones was booked into the jail for the offenses of Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery.  At the time of this release, the three subjects remain in Victoria County jail without bond.
