(VICTORIA,TX)- Four people are in custody after the Victoria Police Department executed a search warrant at an area game room.

On May 18, 2016, at 9:16 pm, the Victoria Police Department’s Special Crime Unit executed a search warrant at JP Game Room located at 1700 E. Houston Highway. The investigation into suspected illegal gambling stemmed from information received by community members concerned about illegal activity.

During the investigation, detectives located and seized motherboards, electronic devices, and a substantial amount of money. Detectives arrested 50 year old Sun Cho, 59 year old Anita Garcia, 27 year old Jennifer Gonzales and 28 year old Brandon Barnes. All four subjects were transported to the Victoria County Jail where they were booked in for Possession of Gambling Device and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.  Fifty year old Sun Cho was also booked in for Possession of Dangerous Drug.

Chief Jeff Craig stated “ This case is an excellent example of the public coming forward through Crime Stoppers and exceptional police work. The Victoria Police Department will continue to aggressively pursue complaints of illegal gambling operations in the city.”
