Arrested: Victor Lopez 36 of the 300 block of S. Third Street

Lopez was arrested following a motor vehicle stop after police dispatch received an alert from a tag reader at the intersection of Delsea Drive and Landis Ave., that a license plate on a vehicle that went through the intersection was reported stolen. 

Officers stopped that vehicle operated by Lopez and investigation at the scene revealed that Lopez was operating a 2002 Lexus while being intoxicated and impaired.  He was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Unlicensed, Fictitious Plates, Unregistered vehicle, Uninsured and Open Container of Alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.  He was also charged with receiving stolen property as the vehicle contained a stolen license plate. 

Lopez also was charged with outstanding warrants issued by Vineland Municipal Court and Buena Borough Court in the total amount of $3,300.00.  Lopez was later transported to Cumberland County Jail where he was held.  BAC results were .10%.
