(VICTORIA, TX) The Victoria Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit, along with the Crime Reduction Unit nets two arrests for prostitution.

On March 23, 2016, at 8:00 pm, undercover officers with the Victoria Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit, along with the Crime Reduction Unit conducted a prostitution sting in the 800 block of South Bridge Street. This sting stems from information received about illegal activity occurring at this location.

Subsequently, police arrested 47 year old Hongying Shen and 46 year old Hongna Jiang and transported them to the Victoria County Jail where they were booked in for prostitution.

Prostitution arrests such as these often uncover networks of human trafficking, violent crimes and drug trafficking, although these two suspects are only charged with prostitution at this time.
