Driver #1: Luis Mercado 30 of W. Chestnut Ave.
On this date, February 26, 2016 while in the area of Delsea Drive and Landis Avenue, I came across a motor vehicle collision. Note: prior to the collision, I observed the same vehicle make an abrupt lane change while traveling South on South Delsea Drive. A grey in color Acura Tl displaying N.J. registration VGF-13D was crashed into a brick pillar and iron fence of 182 south Delsea Drive,Oak Hill Cemetery. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver later identified as Luis Mercado. I attempted to break the passenger side window with my MEB to render assistance with negative results. The driver was able to put the passenger window down, at which time, I unlocked and opened the passenger side door. I asked the Driver if he was hurt, he responded by saying his entire left side of his body and head was hurting him. Note the driver had a bottle of pills in his hands when I opened the door. The driver dropped the pills on the floor of the vehicle. I asked the Driver what happened, he replied, "I don't have a driver's license, registration or insurance for the vehicle". See supplement 11864-2016 I called for Vineland E.M.S. and Fire Department to open the Driver's door as it was obvious from the damage sustained from the collision, the Driver's side door wasn't going to open. Vineland Fire Department arrived on scene and removed the driver from the vehicle. As a precautionary measurement, Vineland E.M.S. decided to fly the driver to Cooper Hospital due to the fact the impact of the collision was on the Driver's side door of the vehicle. Once the Driver was in the ambulance, I asked the driver what had happened and he replied, "I don't really remember". The driver said at this time, he did not have a driver's license, registration or insurance for the vehicle. I contacted Cooper Hospital and spoke with trauma Nurse Esielle. I asked the status of Mr. Mercado she relied he was already released with they could not find any injuries besides minor bruising. Driver was issued the following summons 1. Driving while suspended 2. Uninsured 3. No insurance 4. Fictitious plate 5. Improper lane change
