Pizza with the Police at Uptown School Complex
Today, February 5, 2016, members of the Atlantic City Police Department had a chance to eat lunch with fifth graders at the Uptown School Complex. The event was put together by the department's Community Relations Unit with the pizza being donated by Jonuzi's Pizza on Albany Avenue.
The fifth grade students from the classrooms of Mrs. Jackson, Miss Davis, and Miss Charles were chosen to participate. These students were able to enjoy a slice of pizza while talking with Officers of all ranks and units. After their lunch, the students and Officers engaged in a question and answer session. Two student graduates from the Junior Police Academy, the department's summer program, gave a quick presentation on the benefits of joining the academy.
Over the next several weeks, the ACPD will have a chance to have a slice of pizza and interact with students at others schools throughout the city.
