Case#: 65412-2015

Officer: Apel

Driver #1: Adrian Mcgriff 26 of the 900 block of Florence Ave.

On 11/12/2015, I responded to the area of S Lincoln Ave and E Landis Ave in regard to a collision.  Prior to my arrival on scene I was advised by police dispatch that the driver of vehicle 1 had fled the scene after being picked up by a white Ford Explorer bearing NJ registration E73ELJ.  When I arrived on scene I observed a grey Nissan Maxima bearing NJ registration E22EYV in the wood on the west side of S Lincoln Ave.

An investigation at the scene revealed vehicle 1 was traveling south on S Lincoln Ave.  Approximately 100ft south of E Landis I observed skid mark from vehicle 1 in the northbound lane.  The skid marks, which showed vehicle 1 beginning to spin, continued south for approximately 100ft which led into the southbound lane.  The skid marks showed vehicle 1 left the road approximately 210ft south of E Landis Ave.  After leaving the roadway vehicle 1 then spun and hit a utility pole on the west side of the road on the passenger side of its trunk.

A check of the vehicle revealed numerous paperwork and pictures belonging to a Adrian L McGriff Jr.  I then responded to the registered owner address at 910 Florence Ave.  There I spoke with Yolanda Luciano, the registered owner of vehicle 1.  Luciano advised me McGriff did have her vehicle.  Luciano also stated McGriff called her last night and told her he had gotten into a collision and asked her not to tell the police he was driving.

All attempts to contact McGriff were negative as of the time of this report.

Damage to vehicle 1 was severe.
Luciano advised me McGriff stated he was not injured as a result of this collision.
