On Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at 10:07 p.m., officers from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department stopped a vehicle on Hudson Avenue. During the stop the vehicle fled, stopping a short distance away with the operator fleeing into a wooded area. A perimeter was set up by officers and a K9 unit. The operator was eventually located; during his arrest the operator physically resisted but was taken into custody.
The operator was identified as DWAYNE LIGUORI a 53-year-old New Paltz resident. LIGUORI had a warrant from the Town of Lloyd. Additionally he was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Impersonation and Unlawful fleeing a Police Officer, all A misdemeanors. He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail.
