NEWS RELEASE: COLLISIONS

Driver #1: Daniel Dambosio 28 of Millville NJ

Driver #2: Tammy Meremianin 55 of the 500 block of Lynn Ave.

Driver #1 stated he stopped at a red light on S Delsea Dr and W Sherman Ave in the right lane along the north side. While waiting for the traffic signal to turn green, vehicle #1 was struck by vehicle #2 on its rear bumper causing minor damage. Driver #1 and Passenger #1 claimed no injuries.

Driver #2 stated she was traveling south bound on S Delsea Dr approaching W Sherman Ave. Once she observed the traffic signal was red she began to slow down. Driver #2 stated she did not apply her brakes hard enough to come to a complete stop and struck vehicle #1 on his rear bumper. Vehicle #2 had minor damage to her front bumper.

While speaking to Driver #2 in regards to this incident, she sounded confused about her current situation in regards to being involved in a collision.  Once Vehicle #2 left the scene, it turned right on W Sherman Ave heading Westbound. The front passenger tire rod had snapped on the front tire causing Vehicle #2 to strike the curb along the north side. At this time, Driver #2 wished to go to the hospital because of her anxiety. She was transported to the hospital by Vineland EMS. The vehicle was towed by Courthouse Towing. Driver #2 was issued a summons for #0614-vc-7048 (39:4-144) Failure to stop.

Point of Impact was approximately 30ft east of the west curb edge of S Delsea Dr and approximately 60ft south of the north curb edge of W Sherman Ave.

Driver: Blair Ziglar 30 of the 700 block of E. Walnut Road

Driver# 1 stated at the scene, she pulled into the Citgo Gas Station located at 901 East Chestnut Avenue and drover around the parking lot until she could find an open gas pump. Driver# 1 said she noticed the far pump on the furthest north gas pump was open and she attempted to pull in; however she struck the concrete barrier that separates the gas pumps from vehicles driving through. Driver# 1 said she struck the concrete barrier with the passenger side of the van. A short time later, driver# 1 said she contacted this department.


While on scene, no other witnesses were located and I asked driver# 1 if she needed medical assistance. Driver# 1 declined medical assistance and I checked the damage to the vehicle. Vehicle# 1 sustained apparent moderate damage to the passenger side rear doors and rear passenger side quarter panel. Vehicle# 1 was able to be driven from the scene and no summonses were issued as a result of this crash. The concrete divider was not damaged as a result of the crash.

Driver #2: Angela Thompson 53 of Millville NJ

Driver #1 stated he was driving south on S East Ave when he noticed a vehicle in the roadway in front of him. Driver #1 said as he was slowing down, he saw a person walking in the middle of the road way. Driver #1 stated he swerved to avoid hitting the individual and struck the rear passenger side of Vehicle #2 then went through the front lawn of 1172 S East Ave coming to rest on Magnolia Road.

Driver #2 stated she was stopped on S East Ave facing south because there was a vehicle parked in the roadway in front of her that she was unable to drive around. Driver #2 said there was an individual walking north in the roadway behind her. Driver #2 said that vehicle #1 swerved to avoid the individual and struck her vehicle.

Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the front drivers side and was driven from the scene.
Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the passenger rear side and was driven from the scene.

Driver #1 and Driver #2 both claimed no injuries.

No Summonses were issued.

The individual walking in the road way was identified as Nelson Javier-Figueroa (DOB 04/23/1995)

Driver #1: Yarith Gonzalez-Diaz 18 of Bridgeton NJ

Driver #2: Wallace Moore 56 of the 1000 block of Hadsell Ave.

On 11/04/105, I was dispatched to the area of W Sherman Ave and S Delsea Dr for a two car collision. I arrived on location and observed one (1) vehicle in the driveway of 2802 S Delsea Dr on the north drive way which leads to W Sherman Ave. I also observed another vehicle in the westbound lane of W Sherman Ave with the driver still in the driver seat.

I made contact with the Driver 2 who stated he was experiencing chest pain. EMS was then requested.

Driver 2 stated he was travelling east on W Sherman Ave approaching the light at S Delsea Dr and W Sherman Ave. Driver 2 stated he was going to make a left turn to head north on S Delsea Dr and was passing traffic on the left in the left turn lane. While approaching the intersection, Driver 1 entered the roadway from the driveway of 2802 S Delsea Dr and struck Driver 2 on his passenger side. Driver 2 was then pushed into the west bound lane where he came to a stop. Driver 2 sustained severe damage to the front passenger side of his vehicle causing both front airbags to deploy. Driver 2’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Allonardo Towing.

Driver 2 was seen by Vineland EMS however he refused treatment.

Driver 1 stated she was attempting to exit 2802 S Delsea Dr to head west on W Sherman Ave. Driver 1 stated she entered the roadway and failed to ensure to way was clear of any eastbound traffic. Driver 1 stated as she entered the road, Driver 2 “came out of nowhere” and the two vehicles collided.

Driver 1 claimed no injuries. Driver 1 sustained minor damage to the front end of her vehicle. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.

Driver #1: Thakkar Praful 60 of the 3000 block of Brookfield Street

Driver #2: Christian Smalley 20 of Millville NJ

Driver 1 stated he was sitting at the stop sign on Montrose St waiting for traffic to clear to proceeded North on S West Ave. Driver 1 stated after the last car clear his path he started to pull at onto S West Ave to proceeded North when at last minute he saw driver 2 with no headlights on. Driver 1 stated he couldn't stop in time hitting driver 2 at which time this collision occurred.

Witness 1 stated he was walking North on the West side sidewalk of S West Ave when he had observed driver 2 traveling South with no headlights on. Witness 1 stated driver 1 pulled out into the roadway at which time he hit driver 2 at which time this collision occurred.

Driver 2 stated that he was traveling South on S West Ave when driver 1 pulled out in front of him hitting the passenger side of his vehicle at which time this collision occurred. I asked driver 2 if he had his head lights on at which time he stated yes. I advised him of what driver 1 and witness 1 had stated at which time he stated he was pretty sure the headlights were on but couldn't be hundred percent.

Vehicle 1 sustained minor damage to the front bumper and license plate. Vehicle 2 sustained medium damage to the passenger side. Both vehicles were driven from the scene by the drivers.

Driver 2 was issued the following summons # VC-006034 for failure to use headlights.

All the drivers and passengers refused EMS and claimed no injuries.

Driver #1: Per Montero 67 of the 2000 block of Conley Drive

On 5 November 2015, I responded to the area of 1794 South Main Road, regarding a one vehicle collision. On scene, I made contact with Driver 1, who provided me with the following details;

Driver 1 stated he was traveling north bound on South Main Road, when all he remembers is seeing a mailbox in front of him, which he collided with. Driver 1 stated he felt fine and feels he fell asleep. Note: He did not appear to under any influences of drugs or alcohol.

Witness: Michelle Cruz stated she was traveling south bound on South Main Road, when she observed Vehicle 1 coming into her lane of travel. She blew her horn to alert Driver 1 and swerved to avoid being struck. (1425 Venus Drive, Vineland, New Jersey 08360 856-92-3285).

Resident, Frank Diaz-Marquez of 1774 South Main Road was on scene. His lawn sustained minor/moderate damage, from where Vehicle 1 had gone across his lawn.

The resident of 1794 South Main Road was not home. According to Pro-Phoenix computer system, the resident of that address is Maria Guaciaro. Her mailbox was struck during the collision and was destroyed. Diaz-Marquez stated he would pass along the information to her.

Medical attention was refused by Driver 1. No summonses were issued.  The vehicle was towed from the scene by Ushler's.

Location: 994 W. Sherman Ave.

Case#; 64214-2015

Driver #1: Josefina Santisas 57 of Williamstown NJ

Driver 1 stated she was traveling east bound on West Sherman Avenue, when the front tire came off of the vehicle, was propelled from the roadway into a fence and struck a parked motor vehicle. She informed me she was test driving the vehicle, and felt the front tire of the vehicle wobbling as she drove down the street prior to the collision.

Owner of vehicle 2 was notified of the collision. Dr. Silver of South Jersey Orthopedic Center was also advised of the collision and the damage to the fence. Damage to the fence is approximately $200.00.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Ayala's Towing.

I made contact with Jack Calhoun of Auto Outlet. He informed me the dealership has owned the vehicle for approximately 2 weeks. He added the vehicle was just recently safety tested by an outside company.

Driver #1: James Liberkowski 48 of Atco NJ

Driver #1 stated he parked next to vehicle #2 before entering Arby's. He stated as he attempted to drive off out of the parking stall and make a right he misjudged the turn and struck vehicle #2.

Jennifer Potts (15 Vineland Rd. Millville NJ/DOB:5-3-84/DL#P67843957355842) who drove the vehicle to the location related she did not see the collision but was advised of the damage by Driver #1.

Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the front driver side corner of the vehicle.

No summons were issued due to the collision occurring on private property
