NEWS RELEASE: COLLISIONS

Driver #1: Jakob Botticello 34 of Pittsgrove NJ

Driver #2: Dominique Rundstrom 22 of Newfield NJ

Driver #1, related he was traveling westbound through the intersection of West Garden Road and North Delsea Drive, when a silver in color vehicle pulled alongside his vehicle and quickly cut in front of his vehicle. Driver #1, said while Vehicle #2 cut him off vehicle #2 hit the front passenger side portion of his vehicle.  

 Driver #2, related she was passing vehicle #1 because she thought he had his turn signal but realized at the last minute vehicle #1 did not have their turn signal on. Vehicle #2 related she then pulled in front of vehicle #1 and hit the front of his vehicle.  

 Damage report;

Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the passenger side front portion of his vehicle.

Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the rear driver side portion of her vehicle.

No injuries were report on the scene.  No summons were issued.

Driver #1: Tamaira Serrano 28 of the 1800 block of N. Delsea Drive

Driver #2: Aimee Gayman 34 of Franklinville

Driver #1 stated as she was traveling east on Almond Rd, between Mill Rd & Orchard Rd, vehicle #2, which was following directly behind her, was swerving all over the road. Moments later, while traveling, vehicle #2 collided into the rear of vehicle. Upon the collision occurring, driver #1 began to pull to the side of the road at which time vehicle #2 sped up, past her on the left, and continued east bound fleeing the scene.

Note: As vehicle #2 was fleeing the scene, driver #1 recorded it rear license plate and described the vehicle as a dark colored Ford Expedition.

As a result of the collision, driver #1 did not sustain any injury at the time, and the damage to her vehicle was minor. The damage consisted of minor damage to the rear driver side bumper, tail tamp, and quarter fender area.

On 10/16/2015, I continued this hit & run investigation by responding to the registered owners address, 2777 N. Blue Bell Rd, Vineland. Upon my arrival I located the suspect vehicle in the driveway, 1999 Ford Expedition, dark blue, NJ reg: L56DCG. The Ford displayed moderate / heavy front end damage with full air bag deployments. The damage to the Ford was not consistent with the suspected damage involving this investigation.  

I then made contact with a male subject at the residence who related his name was "Tim". Tim explained he is a roommate at the residence and explained Joseph Senseman was the owner of the Ford. Tim called Joseph at which time I spoke with him. Joseph related he wasn't aware of the hit & run collision in Vineland, however he was aware that his girlfriend, Amiee Gayman, was involved in a collision on 10/01/2015 in Franklinville, NJ, and she was arrested for DWI. 

I then was provided Amiee Gayman's cell number at which time I spoke with her. Gayman related he was the driver on 10/01/2015 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Gayman related she was traveling in Vineland, however was not aware she collided with another vehicle.

I then responded to Franklinville Police Department and was able to obtain there collision report. The report, case # 2015-17994, depicted  Amiee Gayman was the driver and solo occupant of the blue Ford. The details of the collision was Gayman rear end a vehicle (3 vehicles involved) while north bound on N. Delsea Dr by the intersection of  Route 40. The time of the Franklinville's collision was 1718 hours.

Note: As a result of the Franklinville Police investigation, Gayman was arrested for DWI

In conclusion of this investigation, Gayman was issued the following summonses:
1) Following to close / summon # VC-007727
2) Failure to report / summon # VC-007729
3) Leaving the scene / summon # VC-007728

Gayman responded to Vineland Police headquarters on 10/17/2015 and was issued the above summonses.

Driver #2: Kevin Navarr 18 of the 1300 block of E. Sherman Ave.


On October 8th 2015 I was dispatched to the area of N East Avenue and Hendee Road for a collision involving two vehicles. Prior to my arrival dispatch informed me the driver to one of the vehicles is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Upon my arrival I met with Driver #1 who informed me he was traveling southbound on N East Avenue when the vehicle in front of him suddenly put on their breaks and started to make a left hand turn on to Hendee Road. While speaking with Driver #1 I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Driver #1 informed me he had two Coronas and was drunk, see DUI report for further information.

I briefly spoke with Driver #2 who informed me he was traveling southbound on N East Avenue and began to slow down so that he may make a left hand turn onto Hendee Road. Driver #2 stated he waited until traffic on the northbound side of the road cleared before he began to turn left. Driver #2 stated as he was waiting he was struck in the rear by Vehicle #1.

On scene was a witness to the event. I spoke with the witness who informed me he was traveling northbound on N East Avenue and had just passed Hendee Road when he observed Vehicle #1 traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. The witness stated he looked through his rear view mirror and observed Vehicle #1 hit Vehicle #2 in the rear.

Driver #1 did not have any complaints of Pain.

Driver #2 had complaints of pain to his neck. EMS was dispatched to the scene and Driver #2 was transported to Inspira Medical Center for further evaluation.

Vehicle #1 sustained extensive damage to the front bumper and hood of the vehicle.

Vehicle #2 sustained extensive damage to the rear bumper and rear axle.

Both vehicles were towed..

 Driver 1 stated he was east on Landis Avenue and turning north onto Orchard Road.  He stated he thought Vehicle 2 was further away when he turned however it wasn't and a crash occurred. 

    Driver 2 stated he was west on Landis Avenue when Vehicle 1 turned in front of him.  He stated he was unable to avoid a crash.  A check of Driver 2's New Jersey driver's status and found that he does not currently have a license, it's an ID ONLY, which he did not have with him at the crash.  A further check revealed that his NJ ID ONLY was currently suspended at the time of the crash.  He was issued E-Ticket's 0614-E15-2977 for Driving While Suspended, 39:3-40, and 0614-E15-2978 for Failure to Provide DL/ID, 39:3-29.

Driver #1: Essence Ellis 20 of Bridgeton

Driver #2: Ricardo Lim 51 of Millville

Driver #1 stated she was pulling out of the Wawa parking lot to make a left turn on to Sherman Avenue when Vehicle #2, who traveling west on West Sherman Avenue struck her vehicle.  Driver #1 explained that the vehicles in the east bound lane had stopped to allow her to pass through however the vehicles left the scene after the collision occurred.   Driver #1 and the passenger did not complain of any injuries.  

 

Driver #2 stated that after he made a left turn on to Sherman Avenue from South Delsea Drive, Vehicle #1 pulled out in front of him from the Wawa parking lot causing the collision.  Driver #2 did not complain of any injuries.  

 

Vehicle #1 and Vehicle #2 were driven from the scene by their drivers. 

 

Driver #1 was issued summons #0614-VC-008212 Failure to yield out of a driveway (39:4-66.1)

A subpoena was completed for Driver #2.

Driver #1 stated she was stopped at the stop sign in the south bound lane on North Mill Road and West Garden Road. She then proceeded through the intersection and collided Vehicle #2.  Driver #1 indicated that she looked both ways prior to crossing however she did not see a Vehicle #2 due to the sun glare.  

Driver #1 complained of shoulder pain, Vineland EMS responded and transported her to the Inspira Medical Center of Vineland. 

Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene by Rulyn. 

 Driver #2 stated as he was traveling west on West Garden Road, Vehicle #1 pulled out in front of him causing a collision.  

Driver #2 claimed no injury. 

Vehicle #2 was towed from the scene by Larchers.   

 Vineland Fire Department responded and cleared the road of debris. 

 Driver #1 was issued summons #0614-VC-008213 (39:4-144) Failure to stop or yield at a stop sign.

Driver: Robert Watt 22 of the 3700 block of S. Delsea Drive

On October 15, 2015, I was dispatched to 3850 South Delsea Drive (Prior Kmart property) in regards to a collision involving a motorcycle.

Upon my arrival on scene, driver #1 stated while traveling South in the parking lot, practicing for his motorcycle license, he flipped the cycle after using the front brake to avoid running over a 2x4 piece of wood on the ground.

Driver #1 sustained minor scratches/cuts to his back, head and arms.  Vineland Emergency Medical Service responded and transported driver #1 to Inspira Hospital for treatment.

Prior to being transported to the hospital, driver #1 said that he recently purchased the motorcycle from a private party and was still making payments on it.  At this time, driver #1 was also unable to provide any documents for the motorcycle.

Upon later checking with police dispatch, the VIN number (JH2PC400X9K201572) along with the New York registration plate (68RY27) revealed that the motorcycle was entered as stolen from New York.  See Coop with Other Department report (Incident # 2015-60087) for additional.

Rulyn's towing responded and removed the motorcycle.

No traffic summons(s) issued at this time.

Driver #3: John Silvidio 42 of the 300 block of W. Weymouth Road

Driver #1 stated he was stopped at the four way stop at the intersection of N. Mill Rd. and Almond Rd (east bound lane of Almond Rd.). Driver #1 indicated he looked both ways, did not see any vehicles approaching, and proceeded east through the intersection. Driver #1 further indicated as he proceeded through the intersection, he was suddenly struck by vehicle #2.  Driver #1 said after being struck, his vehicle rolled on to the passenger side when it came to a complete stop.  Driver #1 said after his vehicle came to a complete stop, he climbed out through the front passenger side window of the vehicle.   


Driver #2 related she was stopped at the four way stop at the intersection of N. Mill Rd. and Almond Rd (north bound lane of Mill Rd.). Driver #2 said she proceeded through the intersection, when she believed Vehicle #1 disregarded the stop sign at the intersection.  Driver #2 related at that time, they (Vehicles #1 and #2) collided in the middle of the intersection.  

 

Driver #3 related he was at a complete stop at the intersection of N. Mill Rd and Almond Rd (west bound lane of Almond Rd).  Driver #3 said he observed vehicle #2 traveling north on Mill Rd as it approached the intersection of N. Mill Rd and Almond Rd.  Driver #3 indicated as vehicle #2 approached the intersection it did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign at the intersection (N Mill Rd and Almond Rd).  Driver #3 advised at this time, vehicle #1 was at a complete stop at the intersection when it began to proceed through the intersection. Driver #3 stated as vehicle #1 began to proceed through the intersection it was struck by vehicle #2 who did not stop at the intersection.  Driver #3 indicated after vehicle #1 was struck by vehicle #2, vehicle #1 rolled on to its side and struck his vehicle.   


All subjects involved in the collision advised they were not injured and refused medical treatment.

Vehicle #1 received moderate damage to the front and rear passenger side doors, and to the entire rear bumper of the vehicle.  Vehicle #1 was towed by Larcher’s Towing. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the front bumper vehicle and was driven away from the scene.  Vehicle #3 sustained damage to the front bumper and quarter panel of the vehicle, and was driven from the scene. 

Driver #2 was issued summonses 0614-VC-007395 for 39:4-144 (Failure to Stop).

Driver #1 stated she was traveling east bound on E Chestnut Ave approaching the green light at S Valley Ave.  As she attempted to go through the light in the southern lane, driver #2 who was traveling west bound on E Chestnut Ave in the southern lane, turned in front of her.  Driver #1 stated she tried to avoid the accident by slamming on her breaks but was unable to avoid the collision.   

 

Driver #2 stated he was traveling west bound in the southern lane of E Chestnut Ave, when he approached the intersection of S Valley Ave.  He stated the light was green and he had his left turn signal on to go south on S Valley, but had to wait for another vehicle that approach the intersection in the opposite direction.  Driver #2 stated the vehicle, (not driver #1), applied their left turn signal indicating they wanted to turn left, north bound on S Valley Ave.  Driver #2 further stated, the vehicle then waved to him, indicating for Driver #2 to turn.  Driver #2 then stated he was able to look past the vehicle and didn’t see any vehicles coming, and proceeded to turn, when his vehicle was suddenly struck on the passenger rear door. 

 

Driver #1 claimed no injuries, but her child who she also claimed had no injuries was transported by EMS to INSPIRA Medical Center for precautionary reasons.  Driver #1’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the front of the vehicle. 

 

Driver #2 claimed no injuries at this time, and his vehicle sustained moderate damage to the passenger’s rear door. 

 

No summons were issued at this time.
