DETAILS:                                        

On 9-17-15 at 0136 hrs, officers from the Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety were dispatched to a reported robbery that occurred in the area of 6th and ‘E’ St. The female victim stated three subjects had pointed a firearm at her and demanded her purse. The victim complied and the suspects fled the area. The victim went home and called 911 to report the robbery.   

While dispatch was fielding this call, at 0139 hrs, dispatch received another report of a robbery which just occurred at SW 3rd and ‘G’ St.  The male victim reported several male subjects approached him and held him at gunpoint, then demanded his backpack and cell phone. The suspects took the items from the male and fled on foot southbound.

Police units began scouring the area for the suspects and within one hour of the initial robbery, two subjects who fit the description of the suspects were located near Seven Eleven.  When officers approached to contact them, they fled on bicycles. One male, Anthony Council, was apprehended at SE 12th and ‘L’ St. Council was found in possession of items linking him to both robberies.  Detectives responded and continued the investigation.

Further investigation, including surveillance video, assisted Detectives with identifying three additional suspects--Douglas Dahl, Trevor Wilbanks, and Terrell Clinton.  Patrol officers and investigators began searching for the suspects. 

At approximately 11:00 am, a patrol sergeant located Dahl and Wilbanks crossing the Grants Pass Parkway near Baker Park.  When Dahl and Wilbanks observed the patrol unit, they fled along the Rogue River into heavy brush below the Parkway Bridge.  Resources from Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, assisted by Oregon State Police responded to the area and established a large perimeter. 

Police utilized a thermal imaging device, and police K9 Rocco to search for the suspects.  Dahl and Wilbanks were eventually located at the river’s edge several hundred yards upstream.  They were taken into custody without incident.

Detectives are still searching for the last remaining suspect—Terrell Clinton.  If anyone has information regarding Terrell Clinton’s current location, they are encouraged to call the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety at 541-450-6260 and refer to the above case number.
