 DETAILS:

          On Tuesday September 15, 2015, patrol officers from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety responded to the River City Grill for a reported forgery.  The employee of the business reported receiving a $100.00 bill that appeared to be counterfeit. Before police arrived, one of the suspects snatched the bill from the employee’s hand and fled the business.  Suspect information, as well as video evidence was collected at the scene.  The case was forwarded to the investigations division of the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety for follow up.

          The ensuing investigation revealed three suspects were involved in the commission of the forgery. Detectives identified the suspects as Tyson Richardson, Alecia Edmonson, and Jameson Vischer.  Detectives obtained a search warrant for Vischer’s residence located in the 500 block of SE L St.  Due to prior incidents with Vischer, involving firearms, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety SWAT team was used to serve the search warrant.  Vischer was taken into custody without incident within the first five minutes of the operation.  Evidence was collected at Vischer’s residence and he was subsequently transported and lodged at the Josephine County Jail.

          Tyson Richardson and Alecia Edmonson were located shortly after Vischer in the 200 block of SW Lewis Ave.  Richardson and Edmonson were also interviewed and lodged at the Josephine County Jail.  It is believed, of the counterfeit money used by the suspects, two of the three bills were used to purchase narcotics.  At this time, River City Grill is the only known business victim.  If you suspect you have received counterfeit money, please contact the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
