Driver #1: Deric Adams 23 of Pittsgrove NJ
Driver #2: Joseph Collazo 24 of the 300 block of Axtell Ave.
Driver #1 stated he was traveling South on North Delsea Drive, approaching W Forest Grove Road, when Driver #2’s vehicle abruptly came through the intersection. Driver#1 stated Driver#2 never stopped at the stop sign. Driver#1 said he was unable to stop in time and collided with Driver #2’s vehicle.
Driver #1’s vehicle sustained moderate damage to the right front bumper, but was able to be driven from the scene. Driver#1 had no complaints of pain or injury on scene.
I located in the roadway the entire rear bumper from a green Honda, which was the accused vehicle that fled the scene (*Note- Bumper was tagged as evidence and turned into ID).
I was advised by a passing motorist that he observed Driver#2’s vehicle flee the scene and turn down Freddy Lane. I located the green Honda, which was bearing New Jersey Registration (S16DLX) in the parking lot of the Omni Bakery Warehouse and was missing the rear bumper.
I made contact with Omni Bakery staff, who was able to identify employee, Joseph Collazo, as the possible operator of the above mentioned vehicle. I was advised Collazo clocked into work, but then disappeared and was not able to be located on site.

Driver #1: Ginger Chamberlin 58 of the 2000 block of Sunrise Ave.
Driver #2: Edward Kalesse 43 of the 1000 block of New Pear Street
Dispatched to 61 S. Main Rd. (Wawa) for a minor collision on the lot. Upon my arrival, I spoke with driver #1, who related the following about the incident. Driver #1 stated that she was stopped temporarily in the parking lot, waiting for a vehicle to back out of the parking stall so she could assume the parking spot. She stated that as she waited, vehicle #2 backed out of the parking stall and struck her vehicle. Next I spoke with Amanda Kalesse, who originally appeared to be the driver of vehicle #2. Kalesse stated that she was backing out of the parking stall and wasn't looking when she collided with vehicle #1. As I was writing down the information to complete this collision, I was approached by driver #1. Driver #1 now stated that the female I talked to for vehicle #2 was actually not the driver, it was her husband. Driver #1 stated that she wasn't sure if she should have told me when she gave me her original statement, but thought that she better inform now. She stated that the real driver told her that he had a bench warrant out for his arrest, so he was going to go home and send his wife back to the scene. Driver #1 agreed at the time that she would ok with this, however, realized that this was wrong and advised me of the right facts regarding the incident. Next I spoke with Amanda and advised her that I wanted the truth about who the driver was of vehicle #2. Amanda then confirmed that it was her husband, Edward A. Kalesse Jr. who had actually been the driver of vehicle #2. Edward was now unavailable to speak to at this time. Amanda advised that Edward told her that he was backing out of the stall and only paying attention to the vehicle that driver #1 was waiting for and he did not see vehicle #1 behind him when he started to back out and strike vehicle #1. Amanda also stated that Edward's license is suspended and he may be wanted, so he was scared, although he was very apologetic to driver #1. Dispatch confirmed that Edward's NJ driver's license was suspended. Edward did have a warrant from the Philadelphia Municipal Court, however no extradition. Driver #1 indicated that she and her passenger were not hurt and did not need EMS to respond. Amanda confirmed that Edward was not injured in this collision. Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to the driver's side front of the vehicle. Vehicle #2 sustained minor damage to the driver's side rear of the vehicle. Driver #2 was issued the following summons: 0614 VC 005786, 39:3-40, Suspended DL Amanda provided an expired Insurance card for vehicle #2 and advised that the policy number was accurate on the expired card. She was given until the end on this work day, 08/10/2015, to provide proof of insurance or another summons will be issued. Amanda indicated that she would provide the proof as soon as possible. Amanda then faxed over a copy of the valid insurance for the vehicle. No other summonses issued.

On scene, I spoke with Driver 1 who related through her daughter (front seat passenger) that she was stopped on North Mill Road at the stop sign facing southbound. She said she has never traveled in this particular area before and thought that the stop sign was actually a 4 way stop. Driver 1 said she saw Vehicle 2 traveling eastbound on Garden Road and thought it would come to a stop, however, as she began to cross the intersection, Vehicle 2 continued eastbound on Garden Road at which time her Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 on the driver's side. Driver 1 nor any of its occupants complained of any injuries at the time of the crash. Vehicle 1 sustained damage to the right front and was later towed from the scene by All Tow. No insurance was provided at the time of the crash by Driver 1 and several items were hanging from the rearview mirror making it an obstruction of view. Driver 2 on scene stated he was traveling eastbound on Garden Road and approaching the intersection with North Mill Road. Driver 2 said suddenly Vehicle 1 went through the intersection and struck his Vehicle 2 on the driver's side. Driver 2 said he attempted to steer to the right to avoid the crash and as a result his Vehicle 2 struck the curb on the southeastern corner and continued onto the field and coming to rest. Driver 2 complained of right leg pain and was later transported to Inspira Health Network; Vineland Division by Vineland EMS. Vehicle 2 was later towed from the scene by J & C Auto Sales. Witness on scene, Frank P. Bruno Jr related he was behind Vehicle 2 traveling eastbound on Garden Road. He said he saw Driver 1 stopped on North Mill Road and 'must have only looked to her left and not to her right' because she suddenly pulled out onto the intersection and struck Vehicle 2. Bruno further indicated that Driver 2 tried to steer to the right to avoid the crash 'but had no chance in doing so.' As a result of this crash, Driver 1 was issued summonses for failure to yield/stop, unlicensed driver, uninsured driver, and obstruction of view. Driver 2 was issued a summons for driving while being revoked. A subpoena was also provided to the witness to testify in court which is scheduled for 08/19/2015, 0900hrs at the Vineland Municipal Court.
