On 8-8-2015, a white male subject with glasses attempted to take a Ninja blender valued at $169.00 and ran out of the store after confronted by store security.

Details:  On Sunday August 9th, 2015, Luz Y. Perez was arrested for simple assault domestic after she confronted her ex-boyfriend and assaulted him at the store by slapping him in the face. She was processed on a warrant with bail set at $5,000.00/10% and turned over to Cumberland County Jail in lieu of bail.

Charges: Eluding, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction

On 8-9-2015, Jesus Rodriguez was arrested after he was observed by Sgt. Candelario driving a green Honda Accord in the area of East Ave and Park Ave. When Sgt. Candelario attempted to stop the vehicle, Rodriguez did not pull over but instead kept driving until he pulled into a driveway on Peach St. He then exited the vehicle and ran from the scene on foot. He was later arrested in the area of 7th St and Elmer St., behind Juvante Formal Wear, after patrol units set up a perimeter. He was processed on a warrant for Eluding with bail set at $20,000.00 (10%) and issued summonses for Obstruction and Resisting Arrest. He was also served with an outstanding warrant out of Buena in the amount of $279.00. Rodriguez was turned over to Cumberland County Jail.

Victim: Powers, John  47 years old   3670 South Delsea Drive, Vineland

Suspect: Figueroa, Alfredo  48 years old   722 South Seventh Street Upstairs Apt.

Location: 722 South Seventh Street

On 10 August 2015, John Powers advised police he was struck in the right side of the head with a piece of metal pipe by Alfredo Figueroa after a verbal dispute turned physical. Powers stated that his relatives live at 722 S. 7th St., in the lower half of a duplex and have problems with Figueroa, who lives in the top portion. Powers was bleeding from the back of his head and Figueroa was bleeding from his nose. Powers informed police he had punched Figueroa in the face. Powers sustained a cut approximately one inch long on top of the right side his head. Figueroa sustained what appeared to be a broken nose. Vineland EMS arrived on scene and rendered aid to both subjects. Investigation revealed Figueroa to be the aggressor and he was arrested for aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was released on summons complaints pending court.

Home Depot Loss Prevention reported that a white male subject removed several items from the display racks, placed the items in a shopping cart, and exited the store without paying. A white Ford Focus was waiting near the lumber entrance. The male subject quickly threw the items in the rear seat of the vehicle, sat in the front passenger seat, and the vehicle fled the area.  Items stolen included a Dewalt Grinder (Value $119.00), Dewalt Combo Kit including a power drill and driver (Value $299.00), Dewalt 20 volt premium drill kit (Value $369.00), and 5 - Avanti 10” saw blades (Value $19.97 – Total $99.85). The total theft was valued at $886.85.

Details:  Suzanne Purro reported someone had gone through her unlocked 2012 Honda Civic last night, removed items from the glove box, and scattered them around the interior and outside the vehicle, however nothing was missing.   

Items from another theft from auto were found on her front lawn that did not belong to her. The items were a turquoise colored hand bag containing hats, bibles, and other clothing items. These items were determined to have come from a vehicle at 1343 Matthew Lane, which belonged to Brian and Darrah Sikora. The vehicle, a 212 Mercedes Benz GL3, had been left unlocked. The bag was estimated at $20 and the other items were estimated at $50 total.

At 1386 Matthew Lane, Mrs. Muratov advised her husband's unlocked vehicle had been entered during the night and someone went through the glove box. Again, nothing was missing from the vehicle, a 2007 Mazda CX7.

Walmart Loss Prevention reported an unknown black male had taken 5 cans of Enfamil baby formula valued at $36.98 each, and a bottle of Pepsi and attempted to leave the store without paying. After being detained and the merchandise recovered, the subject then fled the store when he learned that police had been contacted.
