 Details:

On 07-14-2015, at approximately 2215 Hrs, Officers from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety responded to 958 West Park Street for a report of a prowler.  While officers were responding, the caller advised an unknown male subject was attempting to break into the residence. 

 Moments later, officers were advised shots had been fired at the residence.  When officers arrived on scene, they located a white male adult unconscious and not responsive on the side of the residence.  Medical personnel responded in and determined the male was deceased.  The residence and surrounding area was secured and the residents were found to be unharmed.

 Detectives responded to the scene and conducted the investigation.  Name of the decedent is being withheld pending contact with next of kin.  The case is currently under investigation, additional information will be released as it is available. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Grants Pass DPS at 541-450-6260.

 Due to the nature of the incident, all further inquiries should be directed to the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office.
