Mendoza was charged with disorderly conduct after police investigated a complaint that he was harassing a neighbor. Officers had calmed the situation once and left, but had to return when Mendoza was seen in the neighbor’s yard.  When officers questioned him, he clenched his fists and took a fighting stance. He was then arrested for disorderly conduct. Mendoza also had an outstanding warrant from Vineland Municipal Court for $50.00.

Officer Capelli arrested two individuals after the report of a burglary taking place at an unoccupied home. The two were found in the home upon police arrival. Damage to a window was noted where forced entry had been made. Copper pipes had been removed from the plumbing system in the house. Pieces of copper pipe, along with a hammer and hacksaw, were located on the floor of the residence. The two arrestees were held at the Cumberland County Jail.

Accused:  Unknown Hispanic male, described as being stocky and approximately in his twenties, wearing a white t-shirt. He was driving a vehicle described as either being a silver, four door Honda or Acura.

An employee of Shamrock Landscaping was in the side yard of the residence, when he heard a vehicle come to a stop in the street near where their company pickup truck was parked. He then saw a male take a backpack blower from the bed of the pickup, put it in the back seat of his vehicle and leave the area. The stolen Stihl backpack blower was worth $600.00.
