On 5/11/15, Juan Lopez reported he was sleeping in the upstairs bedroom when he was woken up by his back door being opened to his residence, which is being renovated. He hid in his closet and called police as he heard a wooden stool being knocked over and a voice telling someone to hush. Juan believes he spooked the suspects because they quickly ran out of the back door after they knocked over the stool. He looked out of his window and saw a flashlight near the front of his house but did not actually see the suspects. The area checked negative for anyone. No property was reported stolen.

On 5/12/2015, Benjamin Pierce reported sometime between 5/11/2015 and 5/12/2015, unknown actor(s) damaged the rear window of his 2005 Chevrolet Impala 4 door. When he walked out to his vehicle on 5/12/2015, at approximately 5:15 AM, he noticed the rear window was damaged. Pierce estimated the damage to the rear window to be approximately $ 300.00.

On 05/11/15, Katherine M Hart-Nardone reported that she came to the Flea Market around 1115 to protest the Circus’ handling of animals.  She was standing at the roadway, holding a sign, while a large group of circus employees walked across the street, hollering and yelling at her. Kate stated there was a white male (accused listed above) that pulled onto the property in a brown truck and began yelling and cursing at her. She stated he yelled about how ridiculous Kate was acting, as well as calling her uneducated. Kate stated the subject then spit towards her but he was approximately 30 feet away and did not hit her.  She believed he may be a circus employee but he was unable to be identified.

On 05/12/15, Arthur Forcinito reported that he had mail stolen from his mail box at his residence. He stated on 04/02/15, he placed an envelope with a money order for his rent to be mailed but when he checked with the mail carrier later, he was told there was no mail found in his mail box. He said on 05/02/15, he again attempted to mail his rent payment but again was told that there was nothing in his mailbox when the postal employee made his rounds. No other residents in the mobile home park reported any problems with their mail. Reported stolen- two envelopes containing money orders in the amount of $485.00 each.

On 5-12-2015, the Major Gas employee above reported that a Hispanic male pulled in and asked for $45.00 worth of regular gas. A short time later, the Hispanic male asked him to stop pumping the fuel due to him not having his wallet. James said he wrote down the subject’s name which was verbally given to him, Jose Miranda with a date of birth of 9-12-1981. James advised he wrote down the NJ temporary registration number of J47913 on the vehicle, a white in color Chevy Equinox. Jose told him he would respond right back with money but he never returned. The gas amounted to $31.25. A check revealed no subject with that name and date of birth and the temp tag came back not on file.

Details:  On 5/12/2015, David Colon reported an unknown person damaged the driver’s side exterior mirror to his 2003 Nissan Altima while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot in front of the Market entrance. David said he has no idea who damaged the mirror and estimated the damage to be $100.00.

On 05/12/15, the above victim reported a burglary to the residence in which entry was made through the back door. Fiocchi stated he was going to settlement for the residence this Friday (05/15/15) and was contacted by the prospective buyer about 1 hour prior to him contacting this department. Fiocchi stated the buyer advised him the house appeared to have been entered and the copper stolen. Investigation revealed the back door appeared to have been pried open and the copper piping cut out from the basement area.   Estimated value of copper piping was $500.00.

Accused: Unknown

Terri Clark reported that sometime during the night, unknown actors broke into her storage shed and stole a dirt bike and a 4 wheeler. Clark said when she pulled into the driveway this morning, she immediately noticed that the doors on the storage shed were open. She said the actors pried the hasp from the door to gain entry. She then discovered another dirt bike that was hidden under a blue tarp in her carport had also been stolen. Investigation revealed that after 4:30 PM yesterday, no one was at the residence but two dogs were inside the house so no one would break in. The actor(s) pried the hasp of the door to gain entry into the shed, where they removed a Yamaha 50cc dirt bike and a 200cc Yahama Blaster ATV. The actor(s) then took a SSR dirt bike from under the carport. Total value for the two dirt bikes and ATV was estimated at $5800.00. No attempted entry into the residence was noticed.

On 05/13/2015, the above victims reported that while lying in bed, the bedroom door was slightly ajar. They saw an unknown male reach their hand through the door and grab the purse off the dresser, which is right next to the door. The only part of the suspect seen was half of his forearm when he stuck his hand through the opening of the door. The male was observed jumping out of one of the bedroom window on the northeast corner of residence. The only description on the suspect: a light skinned male, wearing black leather gloves, white colored wrist band (possible emergency room hospital band). No other description could be given, including clothing.

Numerous officers checked the area for anyone matching the description given, and it was negative.

The items that were stolen:  Michael Kors purse- $250.00, black Liz Claiborne wallet-$15.00, several credit cards, social security card, Td Bank check books- $20.00, and various keys-$30.00. Total for all items stolen- $315.00.

On May 12, 2015, at approximately 11:45PM, Joanna Critti was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after a motor vehicle stop was conducted on a car in which she was the passenger. She was processed and released on a summons complaint pending court.

Victim: Mikilyn Hiles   1108 Dock Street, Millville, NJ

Accused: Unknown

 

On 13 May 2015, Mikilyn Hiles  reported she was a victim of a theft from auto which occurred in the City of Millville.  Unknown suspects stole her Cape Bank Visa Debit/Credit card from her purse which had been in the vehicle and used it fraudulently in Vineland.

She indicated a purchase at was made at 1070 West Landis (Walmart) for $361.21. Other purchases were made at the Delsea Gulf Station for $8.00, Riggins Gas Station for $37.66, and Exxon Mobile for $12.25. Hiles also advised two attempts were made to use the card at Best Buy at 3849 S. Delsea Drive and Home Depot but both attempts were declined. Hiles reported that the Best Buy purchase was for approximately $2,000 but was declined by Visa. Investigation pending review of surveillance footage from several stores and gas stations.
