On this date, 05/07/2015 I responded to 1851 South East Avenue (Vineland Storage) in regards to a hit and run collision. Upon arrival on scene, I met up with the owner of Vehicle 2 which was parked on the northeast corner of the business next to storage number 262. The owner of Vehicle 2 identified as Nattooee Pierce related she was inside of her storage unit when suddenly she heard a bang outside. When she came outside she observed a U-Haul truck occupied by (2) two females continue south through the business. Pierce also had noticed that her Vehicle 2 had been struck on the rear bumper/taillight area; driver's side. Pierce then tried to wave down the driver as she began to walk towards the office area, however, the U-Haul driver continued to flee from the scene. Pierce then made contact with the office manager/witness Kelli McCormick. Pierce stated she advised McCormick of the incident at which time it was related back to her that she knew the driver of the U-Haul driver. Nattooee then related McCormick then made contact with the driver later identified as Leslyjon Wiltshire in the presence of her. I then spoke to McCormick on scene who related the following to me. She said she was approached about the aforementioned incident by Nattooee at which time she already knew about the driver. She said the Leslyjon had already checked in to the storage facility as she was moving everything out of her storage unit. She said she advised Leslyjon numerous times to come back to the scene due to an incident that had occurred at which time she would answer back by saying 'for what, is it about that car I hit?' McCormick said after she told her that is the reason why she had to come back, Leslyjon stated that she could not come back and that she would at a later time. I then gathered Leslyjon's cell phone number and made contact with her. After making contact with Leslyjon via telephone she met up with me at the Ramada Inn without the U-Haul vehicle. I then followed her to her residence located at 530 Coral Avenue, Bridgeton. There, I was able to locate the U-Haul vehicle parked across the residence with damage on the passenger side correlating to the damage found on the struck parked vehicle. I asked Driver 1 what had happened at which time she said she was finished up from her storage unit and started to leave the facility. She said when she turned the corner (northeast corner) there was some construction being conducted and was not sure if she had made it through making the turn. She said it did not feel like her Vehicle 1 had struck Vehicle 2 so she continued to drive. Driver 1 said she was never waved down by anyone and when she received the phone call by McCormick she did not mention anything about striking the parked vehicle. No injuries reported by either occupant of Vehicle 1. Insurance Information on Vehicle 1: U-Haul is self-insured with Policy Number CA08 Republic Western 2721 N.
