Atlantic City Police respond to a vehicle crash on Route 30. Four passengers sustained moderate to serious injuries.
On Saturday April 18, 2015 at 4:55pm Atlantic City Police responded to a traffic crash in the eastbound lane of Route 30. A Honda CRV driven by Angel Pereira, age 18 of Pleasantville, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the marshes. The vehicle came to rest upside down in the marsh. Upon the arrival of Police all occupants were out of the vehicle. There was a total of six occupants in the vehicle.
Four occupants were transported to AtlantiCare for treatment. They suffered moderate to severe injuries. The driver and one other occupant were uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The crash is being investigated by Atlantic City Police Crash Investigator Chris Caverretta. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Crash Investigations Unit at 609-347-5744.
With assistance of Pleasantville and Absecon Police the roadway was closed at 5:10pm during the crash investigation and reopened at approximately 6:15pm.
Three summons were issued to Pereira for careless driving, seatbelt violation and driving with a probationary license.
