Officer Watkins stopped the vehicle Rodriguez was operating after observing a motor vehicle violation. Rodriguez threw small plastic bags containing suspected crack cocaine on the ground during the investigation. A search incident to his arrest located additional bags of suspected crack cocaine and marijuana. A consent search of the vehicle revealed another bag of marijuana. While checking out the other occupants of the vehicle, police learned Santos had a warrant issued for his arrest from the Vineland Municipal Court. He was released ROR for the warrant and Rodriguez was released on summons complaints.

Arrested: Anthony M. Wallace (M-25) 305 N. 3rd Street Vineland

Arrest Dispo: Held on $500,000 full cash bail.

Police were dispatched to Pep Boys for a disorderly person. Wallace was located in the store eating and drinking items he had not paid for. While police were investigating this matter, a male entered the store and explained that Wallace had assaulted his wife and attempted to take her car. Police then spoke to the thirty-five year old woman who reported Wallace opened her car door while she was stopped at the light at 4th Street and Landis Avenue. He tried to pull her from the vehicle and then punched her in the face. She accelerated from the area and escaped. Her two children, ages eleven and fourteen were in the car when the incident occurred. Wallace was arrested and charged with carjacking.

The victim reported that two males assaulted her and took $200.00 from her purse. She described the black males, as being in their late 30’s or early 40’s, wearing black baseball style hats, black hooded sweatshirts, with beards and mustaches.

Santiago was charged with endangering the welfare of children after being arrested for a DWI, while a six year old passenger was in the vehicle he was operating.
