On 3-25-15, at approximately 1730 hours, members of the Atlantic City Police Department Special Investigations Section affected the arrest of a wanted male in the beach block of Ocean Avenue.  The male, Wilbor Hopewell, was wanted on outstanding warrants out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office and the municipality of Carney’s Point.  A search of Hopewell incident to his arrest yielded a .25 caliber handgun and heroin.  The arrest was made by Detective W. Herrerias, Det. D. Lorady and Det. T. Moynihan of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section.  

Arrested:     Wilbor Hopewell, 27, of Vineland, NJ

Charges:      Unlawful Possession of a Handgun

                  Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon

                  Possession of CDS Heroin

                  Male also had outstanding warrants out of Atlantic County

Bail for this arrest was set at $100,000 full cash.
