Steven Pleis reported an unknown actor(s) stole the boat motor from his 14 foot boat, which was stored at the storage lot within Berryman’s Branch Mobile Home Park, sometime within the past month. The boat motor was a Johnson outboard motor, twenty horsepower, gas powered white in color, #14 on the side, valued at $1,500.00.

Vineland Police responded to the area of Walmart for an anonymous complaint of prostitution, which was cleared with negative results. While investigating, Off. Day located a green in color Ford Explorer parked at the east property edge of Walmart with no other vehicles near it. The vehicle was occupied by the above two subjects. During the investigation, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was coming from the interior of the Ford Explorer. Smaniotto was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Detetta was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue on it. They were both released on summons complaints pending court.

Details:  Teresa Strittmatter reported that at approximately 4:30 am, she went to let her dog outside when she discovered both her and Angelena’s (daughter) purses on a table in the garage and it appeared as if they had been gone through. Strittmatter was unsure if she secured all the doors to the residence the night prior. A check of the perimeter of the residence showed no indications of forced entry.

Strittmatter's other daughter, Isabella Fanucci, then checked her Jeep Cherokee, which was found unlocked. She was unsure if she locked it the night before. She left her purse on the passenger side seat and advised it appeared someone had gone through her purse. Approximately five dollars was taken.

Angelena Fanucci stated she left her purse on the dining room table the night prior. The following morning she discovered her purse in the garage on a table with approximately Twenty- Eight dollars taken from her purse.  Nothing else appeared to be missing.

On 03/17/2015, Diane Reed reported that she bought this residence and today, 03/17/2015, she had the City of Vineland Water Department come out to the residence to turn the water on. When they arrived, they advised her that the water meter was missing. Since she just purchased the house, she was uncertain of a time frame for the theft. The water meter was valued at $185.00.

The above subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe. She was processed on a summons complaint for the drug paraphernalia charge and held on bail on the warrant, which had been issued from Bridgeton Municipal Court Warrant (M119676), with bail at $750.00. She was then turned over to Cumberland County Jail.

On 03/16/2015, the Cumberland Mall reported the theft of an Easter display, which had been in the center of the mall. A check of surveillance cameras revealed at 2159 on 03/16/2015, an unknown female was leaving the Nails 2000 store inside of the mall. The subject was attempting to find an exit from the mall and was having trouble locating a door due to the mall being closed. While the subject was attempting to locate an exit, she passed the Easter display in the center of the mall. The subject then stopped, looked at a display piece, and took the piece. The display is described as a multi-colored flower, constructed of mostly decorative material, and stands approximately three feet tall. The display is valued at $500.00. The subject is described as a white female, 25 to 35 years of age, blonde hair, wearing a grey hat, white shirt, black jacket, black pants, and grey boots, carrying a silver handbag.  

The camera system was unable to track the subject to any vehicle after she exited the mall. A check with Nails 2000 showed the subject only used the name ‘Valentine’ when she signed in to their business.

Victim: Ashley L. Foster

The above victim reported several items were stolen from her vehicle, which had been parked in her driveway overnight at 1026 East Park Avenue. Foster believes she locked her vehicle when she arrived home on 03/17/2015 around 8:00 PM. Foster returned to her vehicle the following morning, started her vehicle, and let the vehicle warm up in the driveway. Foster said her vehicle was not parked far from the sidewalk along West Park Avenue. Foster was unable to determine if the items from her vehicle were stolen overnight or while the car was warming up. When Foster returned to her vehicle, she noticed her vehicle was disheveled. A closer inspection revealed several items were missing from the vehicle consisting of the following:

1) Pink fleece North Face jacket with gray collar  - $120.00

2) Pack of Newport Cigarettes - $8.00 

3) Blue Cannon power shot digital camera - $200.00 (

4) White I-Phone ear buds - $20.00

5) Magellan Navigation unit - $50.00

6) Assorted silver coins - $20.00

7) Assorted losing lottery tickets - $0.00   

Foster said her purse had also been in the vehicle, however the contents of the purse were not touched.
