We were made aware that many people were unable to sign up to receive alerts via text message on your cell phone. We are happy to report that our alert provider Tip411 has corrected this issue. Below are the steps to add text message alerting to your existing Tip411 notification account:

Go to www.citizenobserver.com

Click Login at the top right of the screen

Login using your email address and password that you used to sign up for alerts

Click Edit Profiles

Ensure your Phone Number is filled in

Click Update Person

Click Edit Subscriptions

On the next screen, check the box next to Text Message Notifications

Click Update

You are now subscribed for receiving our alerts via Text Message.

Note, you may receive a text message requesting to confirm your subscription.
