On December 16, 2014 at approximately 2:30PM, I responded to 501 North Delsea Drive, Vineland NJ (Wawa) for a two vehicle collision (Reportable/No Injuries/Private Property).

Upon my arrival, I spoke with driver#2 who stated that he was traveling south in the parking lot just east of the gas pumps when his vehicle was suddenly struck by driver#1 who was backing from his parking stall.

Driver#2 stated that he was not hurt as a result of the collision and claimed no injuries.

I then spoke with driver#1 who stated that he was backing from his parking stall when driver#2 came out of nowhere. Driver#1 stated that driver#2 was speeding through the parking lot because he did not see him when he was backing out of his stall. Driver#1 stated that as he was backing his vehicle, he was not able to stop in time and struck driver#2’s vehicle.

Driver#1 stated that he was not hurt as a result of the collision and claimed no injuries.

Driver#2’s vehicle sustained damage to the front and rear driver side door. Driver#1’s vehicle sustained minimal damage to the driver side rear.

Driver # 1, stated she was traveling south on North Delsea Drive when vehicle # 2 attempted to passed her vehicle on the right and collided at which time both vehicle collide.

Driver # 2, stated he was attempting to passed vehicle # 1 on the right side when vehicle # 1 collided with his vehicle

Both drivers claimed they did not suffer any injuries during the collision.

Vehicle # 1, sustained damages on the driver’s side and vehicle # 2, sustained damage on the front driver’s side fender. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene by their drivers.

Driver # 2 was issued with traffic summons # 0614VC001671, Careless Driving 39:4-97.

Driver 1 stated that she was traveling south on S Delsea Dr. She then attempted to get into the middle turning lane. While attempting to do that, she must have not cut the steering wheel enough because she struck vehicle 2 that was directly in front of her. Damage to vehicle 1 was on the passenger side front fender area. All occupants in the vehicle 1 claimed no injuries at this time.

Driver 2 stated that he was also traveling south on S Delsea Dr. He stated that while he was stopped in traffic, vehicle 1 struck his vehicle from behind. Damage to vehicle 2 was on the driver side rear bumper area. All occupants in vehicle 2 claimed no injuries at this time.

Driver 1 was issued a summons (0614-VC-001150) for careless driving. Driver 2 was issued a subpoena for the set court date.

Driver #1 stated at the scene in the presence of driver #2 that he was traveling North on South Delsea Drive and had to stop for traffic when crossing Landis Ave and was struck from behind.

Driver #2 stated at the scene in the presence of Driver #1 that he was Traveling North on South Delsea Drive and saw vehicle #1 stopping but when he attempted to stop he slid on the wet roads into the back of vehicle #1.

Due to no injuries and both vehicle being in drivable condition both vehicles were driven from the scene and no summons were issued.

Driver 1 stated she was traveling south bound on South Main Road when a vehicle from the on-coming lane of travel appeared to be veering into her lane of travel. Driver 2 stated she panicked, swerved to the right to avoid the collision and struck the utility pole located on the west shoulder of the roadway.

Chris Torres (witness) stated he was traveling behind Driver 1 when he observed her in the middle of the roadway and observed her go off the roadway. (Contact Info: 535 Drexel Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey Phone Number: 856-974-0530).

No summons were issued after considering the statement provided by Driver 1 and due to the fact the collision was a one vehicle crash. No injuries were reported at the scene and the vehicle was towed by Forest Grove Motors at the Owner's request.

Vehicle 1: Mazda Tribute

Vineland Electric Pole: VE-6215 sustained minor damage and the Electric Utility was notified.
