Stolen property sold to area Markets - 4 arrests

Over the past six months, Delhi Police working in connection with the Kroger Company and the Cincinnati Police Department, began an investigation into stores that are buying merchandise that has been stolen from Kroger stores. The investigation began after an arrest for shoplifting at the Kroger store in Delhi. Over the course of the investigation four different stores were identified as willing to buy stolen merchandise. An informant was used to make the transactions with each store. The informant portrayed to the store that the merchandise was stolen. The stores purchased the items at a greatly discounted price. The stores then would put the product on their shelves and re-sell the items to the public at regular price. The person at each store who purchased the items was charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Property a felony of the 5th degree.
