On July 12, 2011, the Birmingham Police Department will host a Citizen’s Police Academy Program. This training is offered free to citizens 21 years or older, who reside in the city of Birmingham. 

The Citizen’s Police Academy Program is a nine week program designed to give the participants a working knowledge of the Birmingham Police Department. The program will consist of 35 participants who will attend a series of classes held once a week, every Tuesday from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM. Each class will be held at a specified Birmingham Police Department facility location.
