Highway 12-Rio Vista Shoulder Widening Project One-Way Traffic Controls-Week of June 23rd
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue with ongoing paving work as part of a construction project to add shoulder and turn pocket lanes on eastbound and westbound Highway 12 just west of Downtown Rio Vista. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in January 2015.
To ensure public and worker safety during the work, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on Highway 12 between Curry Road and McCloskey Road, and between Azevedo Road and Summerset Lane during five consecutive nights, the week of Monday, June 23rdth.
Paving work is scheduled on Monday, June 23rd, until Friday, June 27th starting at 6 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
During one-way traffic controls, crews will alternate closures on westbound and eastbound Highway 12 to allow one-lane of traffic to proceed at a time. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
Please slow for flaggers and construction crews. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
